HERO “Mogadishu”-(Clean)

Download
http://www.zshare.net/audio/80719049de1db4/

HERO: “A legendary figure endowed with great strength or ability; who commits an act of remarkable bravery or who has shown an admirable quality such as great courage or strength of character; the central figures of a movement.”
The “movement” in this case is to push the boundaries of the music we know and love.

HERO gives us two such legendary figures. Introducing artist/producer extraordinaire Darp Malone and the incredible word-smith E-Dot (who has previously worked with Mr. Complex, The Chapter, Loer Velocity and released singles on Ill Bill’s Uncle Howie Records). These two long time collaborators have finally combined their efforts on a full-fledged scale to create a sound that is nothing short of amazing. HERO’s music is honest and passionate, so wonderfully sincere and effortless.

They have no capes or pantyhose, just soulful ballads and aggressive compositions. Somehow HERO manages to easily combine substance and intricate wordplay with moving melodies and catchy refrains.

Together as HERO, E-Dot and Darp Malone’s music utterly transcends time without the abuse of trends and propaganda. Upon first listen one comes to realize that the future is upon us. The time is now, and they are here. Embrace them, witness the conquest; and don’t take them for granted.

Khia “Be Your Lady”

Download Track
http://www.zshare.net/audio/7895418d8e6108/

Successfully returning to the rap game after years of touring Khia is back and its on and poppin. While Khia hasn’t been directly in the spotlight for the past four years, she has been touring - due to the staying power of her smash hit “My Neck, My Back” her loyal fans, sold out shows, and grinding in the studio. Khia is hotter than ever now, with the July 11, 2006 release of her new album, Gangstress, on Thug Misses Entertainment/ T.M.E Records. Khia Enjoys running her own lable and She also has a new book and a 40-city tour in the works.

Naturally self-motivated, Khia took a hands-on approach to jumpstart her career while she was bartending at the hottest clubs in Tampa, Florida. She came into contact with artist managers, radio personalities and DJs, which gave her an edge in getting her music heard. Even with the growing support from the industry, Khia was intent on making things happen on her own. I stand on my own two feet, she says. I feel like a lot of the female artists in the game have been introduced to the Hip-Hop world through men. I came out by myself. You cant really depend on people to do stuff for you, you really have to get out there and do it for yourself.

Since the release of her 2002 debut album Thug Misses, Khias experiences have taught her invaluable lessons. You cant depend on a lot of people in the industry - you have to build relationships with your fans. Its always about performing and being out on the road networking. You have to be up on your business.

In as much as she wants to be respected as an artist, Khia also wants her music to be taken seriously. Im not just an entertainer or somebody thats in it for the fame, she explains. Music is really what I love to do - I eat sleep and breathe music. A lot of people look at females in the rap industry as sex symbols, they get it twisted thinking its just about sex. I really want them to respect me as a creative writer, composer and a person that creates music for people to enjoy.

With Gangstress about to drop and the new single Snatch The Cat Back picking up steam, Khia is sticking to her do it yourself formula. I produced the whole album, only working with engineer John Miller in Atlanta, she says. I in control of my situation and Im loving it. Im real excited about everyone seeing that I was hands on with the production and that i do all my own writing and vocals I enjoy both singing and rapping i just love music as a whole. This was my first time going in and orchestrating, having live musicians and different engineers to come in and really bring everything to life. Im not the type of artist where people put a piece of paper in front of my face and tell me how to read it. Im in control of everything that I do.

Khia has grown artistically over the years, and the music on Gangstress demonstrates that she cant be pigeonholed as a one-dimensional artist. I had fun when I wrote this album, its real versatile. I did a lot of different types of tracks. The first album was kind of sexual, a lot of different stuff with relationships. This album I did club tracks, fun party tracks. I took different avenues and mixed it up this time. The people that thought I was a one hit wonder will see the different range that I went in with this album, and see that I am a lyricist.

In addition to her album, Khia will be putting out a book this Christmas entitled Gangsta Love, her life story dealing with love and relationships discussed in her music. She is also set to work on developing new artists, writing and producing Hip-Hop and R&B, which was her first love before rapping. For the rest of this year, fans can look out for her national 40-city tour.

When all is said and done, Khia never takes her audience for granted. Thank you to my fans - the wait is over! Its really because of them that Im here. The album is dedicated to them, Im excited to give them more of what theyve been waiting for.

K-Diamondz

From the grimy streets of Pine Bluff, Arkansas K-Diamondz began free styling in high school and made his first mix tapes in college. The new rap artist got his first lessons on distribution when he decided to sell his music while he was delivering pizza for Papa Johns. Underground rap had just reached a plateau in the summer of 2002 and he definitely wanted a piece of the action.

Why were most new rap artist were only hustling? K-Diamondz was in college, hustling, throwing parties and hosting his own radio show “Street Radio.” After graduating from college he interned for TVT records for 6 months and sold cd’s for money.

After interning from college he moved to Dallas, TX where he released the underground classic “Let Me In.” Two years later he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his rap career.

J PEEZY-APB Entertainment

Born and raised in Fresno, California, the rapper known to the world as J PEEZY began to take a strong interest in Hip Hop at an early age. In order to avoid being fully engulfed in the gang lifestyle, his family encouraged him to play football. The hard work paid off and earned him a full athletic scholarship to San Jose State University in the Bay Area.

In the Bay Area, J PEEZY earned a reputation for being one of the hottest rappers on the streets of San Jose. J PEEZY started his rap quest in an underground rap group called “The Odyssey”, alongside the current star of the USA Network show “The 4400”, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali.

Following a career ending injury while playing football, J PEEZY decided to pursue his passion for music full time and linked up with a crew called “The Committee” and performed with the likes of Too Short, Westside Connection & King T.

Since then he has recorded and worked on tracks with the likes of Bay Area legend Sean T, Bay Area producer Prohoezak, Clinton “Mr. Payback” Sands, who has produced tracks for: Ice Cube, Westside Connection, E-40, Yo-Yo, Treach from Naughty By Nature, and Spice 1 just to name a few. He has also worked and recorded with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis’s Flyte Tyme Productions Team who have worked with Yolanda Adams, Mya, KRS-1, Spice 1, Butterfly, John B, and AZ Yet, and many other artists.

J PEEZY has recorded songs with Kenny Ski of Rocafella Records, R&B group Christion, and with Neyo, who’s recent album has been a huge success on the Billboard music charts. J PEEZY has also worked with Andre Wilson who is son of The Gap Band great Charlie Wilson. His most recent collaboration was with Bay Area’s own Tony Lindsay, the former lead vocalist of world renowned group Santana.

J PEEZY brings to you a combination of raw uncut lyrics blended with a blend of street and life tribulations, in a true classic and melodic fashion.

You will be fully captivated from the first bar of every song he spits, as he paints a graphical picture of street life, and cleverly transitions his lyrics line for line. J PEEZY has paid his dues and sat coach for too long in this game and now it is his time to shine!

J-Scrilla “Yurp N Lean”

He’s cool calm and collective, but most of all rap fans he’s finally here. Proud son of the Hawaiian Islands J-Scrilla is the West Coast’s newest rap sensation. After slamming through every major party in Hawaii, Scrilla came to California and made the Bay Area take note immediately. He battled rapper after rapper on San Francisco’s 106.1 KMEL with Evan Locke and after winning in his first rap forum, Scrilla was signed on to Hollywood Records in Burbank under Peter Paterno. ” I was so excited man, I thought to myself yo this is it Jay we coming up.” Once signed, Scrilla recorded his first single entitled ” Droppin The Science” a spin off from the Thomas Dolby original hit ” Blinded Me With Science”. Although the label was very happy with the single Scrilla really felt that Hollywood and Paterno wasn’t really behind him or his vision. So after several appearances and shows, Scrilla opted to sign out of his contract and become a free agent. ” I was really bummed out, they were making it seem like the rap world wasn’t ready for an artist from Hawaii, so I took my loot and bounced back to the Bay determined to prove them all wrong.”

During this difficult time, Scrilla ran into a Bay Area rap artist named ” Young Life”. ” Life was very special man, you could see it in his look and in his voice”. The two really hit it off so well that Scrilla ended up singing several choruses for Life’s new CD called ” Thugg Muzik “. That is where Scrilla met up with Independent Rap Mogul Greg Gali of GMG Music. ” Greg-G loved my voice and really felt the melodies that I implanted into my music”. Gali then started to use Scrilla for several other projects with many heavyweight underground artists to get his name out onto the scene. It worked, and it worked so well that Gali had Scrilla join his current tour in Asia to open up for platinum recording artist Keith Martin. ” Asia was fat man, I loved it and I do hope one day I can go back and shock it again.” That tour confirmed for Gali that Scrilla was ready to be released as a full-time artist. He then had Scrilla return to the GMG studios immediately to begin recording his new CD ” Rise & Shine”. ” This CD is very special to me, it’s my way of giving back to the Bay Area for all the love and respect that they showed me.” ” There’s nothing like the West Coast rap scene man and I’m very proud to finally be a part of it. ”

Rightly so, as word has now leaked out that J-Scrilla has teamed up with the Bay’s own legendary DJ King Assassin of Liferdef Records. ” Assassin helped me after all my family and friends turned their backs on me and that’s something that I will never forget.” ” From here on out, it’s GMG, Liferdef & Koch baby that’s my word.”

So there you have it rap fans, the stage has been set his CD is now completed and with distribution ready to hit this 2008 with Koch Records, Scrilla will bring his music and love for his hometown Hawaii to the forefront of today’s rap music scene. His first single “About To Ride Featuring Persia of Blacktie Records has already been leaked on to streets & several rap radio stations, It’s also getting tons of positive feedback. ” Hawaii really has something to be proud of ” stated Gali, ” J-Scrilla is very talented and I’m sure he’ll do very very well.”
