AFFILIATE was born Garland Webb, on October 9th, 1984. Raised in the South End (Tent City) of Boston MA, Affiliate always had a love for music growing
up. Although he chose to focus on sports, Affiliate would keep the pen to the pad filling up notebooks full of lyrics written about his own personal life experiences growing up in the streets of Boston. Eventually all the hard work in sports landed Affiliate a spot on the University of Maine football team but he decided to take this opportunity to focus on music instead. Using a microphone from a video game Affiliate got to work recording songs in his UMaine dorm room. This soon lead to the beginnings of his first rap group “Gritty City Mafia” which consisted of four members. Creating a large buzz around the UMaine campus, Affiliate sought out Sean Smith, founder of Queen City Entertainment who then introduced him to T.J Jozefowicz and his label Flophouse Records.

Since then Affiliate has released several projects including the mixtapes “The Preview,” “Power of Fear,” “Hott Shit 20: The New England Takeover” (with artists Termanology and Dre Robinson), and “Mr. Piff, Dope, & Blow Vol. 1: We’re Laughing At You!” (Hosted by DJ Vlad). His long-awaited debut on Flophouse Records, “Trash Bag Money The Album,” features quality street bangers such as “Front To Back” and “Click, Click” and showcases his lyrical skills on songs such as “Night Moves Feat. Ali Vegas”. Affiliate’s storytelling diversity in rapping is one of his strongest attributes. In one song he can talk about his troubled past in Boston and in the next about falling in love with the perfect woman. Currently Affiliate’s music is being played on college and commercial radio nationwide, and his album is getting spins in numerous countries as far away as Tokyo, Japan! He has performed and recorded with hip-hop artists such as Papoose, Bubba Sparxxx, The Clipse, Talib Kweli, Termanology, Jae Millz, Doujah Raze, Smoke Bulga, Dre Robinson, Statik Selektah, G-Eyez, Nigel Hall, and Ill Natural within the last few months alone! Under the management of Flophouse Records, Affiliate is poised to be the next major New England hip-hop artist and he’s
ready for it!

Starr media group (S.M.G)-WE BUILD STARS BABY!!!!

Starr media group (S.M.G) is much more than a record label. We are a creation 20 years in the making. Created by Ron “Ronnie Knottz” Clark and Andre” Dre Deniro” Davis. S.M.G. is the place where a talented artist, be it an M.C., singer, producer or model, can be given the special attention which actually makes them a star. By utilizing our already established industry relationships and capitalizing on our “sleep when you die” work ethic, we at S.M.G. are proud of the fact “we build stars baby”. In addition to being established in the United States, S.M.G has also launched its international office in Perth Australia, headed by Brad “Smallz” ( mixclik.com). With his “don’t underestimate me” attitude, Brad is more than prepared to bring that fire to the European market place. S.M.G. is poised to release its first product hosted by Street Sweepers own Dj. Radio “Mr. Sold out”. The debut release from S.M.G. will be a collaboration of all artists on the label. This freshman release will have hits by Joe Clark an M.C. from Maryland by way of Camarillo Ca. Joe is lyrically dangerous with his west coast swagger and East Coast fire. Rita Tyler, an R/B singer /Song writer with an angelic voice is a young woman with an old soul who has fresh new ideas which will bring R/B back to what the originators had intended. C-Gutta and OxPro, S.M.G.’s New Jersey Dynamic Duo will be causing the industry some problems. Together or solo these young men approach each project with an intensity that has not been displayed in a very long time. Always thinking of new ideas and always mastering their craft, they are always looking to provide a new approach to their musical game. S.M.G.’s production team is the 2006 (Rocwilders) Roc battle winners ‘The Presidentz” (Matt Heist, Raycean”Been Heard”, Gutta Rock and Trillagy formerly of Triple Prez). These producers will be a force to be reckoned with in 2007. The engineering arm of S.M.G. belongs to Evan Scott Smith who has worked with the who’s who of the industry(Mary J. Blige,Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson,50 cent and many more)S.M.G. will prove to be what the game has been missing , so we suggest you stay tuned for what we have in store for the world .

Hip Hop Isn’t Dying, It Just Sucks

Hip hop sales are down. But why? Countless articles have said the problems with hip hop stem solely from its content. Not true. Hip hop first and foremost is a musical art-form. Right now, hip hop just isn
’t living up to musical standards. It’s just plain bad.

COMPLEX MEDIA PARTNERS WITH FOUR BLOG-ORIENTED WEB SITES TO CREATE NEW ONLINE COMMUNITY FOR YOUNG MEN

COMPLEX MEDIA PARTNERS WITH FOUR BLOG-ORIENTED WEB SITES TO CREATE NEW ONLINE COMMUNITY FOR YOUNG MEN

NEW YORK, NY—July 26, 2007—Complex Media LLC, the publishing and new media division of Marc Ecko Enterprises, has entered into a partnership with four blog-oriented Web sites as part of a new online initiative designed to reach the multiple interests of young men. Web sites Nicekicks.com, Bastardly.com, Slamhype.com and Nahright.com will join Complex.com, the official site for Complex magazine, to create the Complex Media Network, a community of sites dedicated to emerging trends and ideas for young men age 18-34.

Each Web site in the Network is dedicated to a different touch point within this lifestyle. From trendspotting and celebrity news to sneakers, art, hip-hop and apparel, the community of sites will hit every corner of this hard-to-reach marketplace with approximately 23 million impressions across the entire network per month. Each of the sites will feature links and highlights from partner sites, creating a central community for young men with varied interests.

The partner sites will continue to run with their existing editors, but advertising will be sold through Complex Media, allowing marketers to buy into a community that penetrates every element of this lifestyle. Brands will have the ability to participate in online sweepstakes, exclusive banner take-overs, micro sites, video ads and more. Also, similar to what is currently done with Complex magazine, the company will create custom units for specific brands that wish to reach this target online.

“This generation has embraced blog-based sites in particular because of their ability to present news and information in a way that is very up close and personal,” said Complex Media Group Publisher Rich Antoniello. “Each of the sites in our network have proven to be leaders in their respective categories, so this not only provides a great service to the young men that we are targeting, but also allows marketers to have a more organic connection to a consumer that is traditionally very difficult to reach.”

Information about the Web sites:

Nicekicks.com
Considered the number one viewed sneaker site, with several sneaker product and news updates per day. This community-based site allows users to profile themselves and their favorite sneakers on a daily basis.

Bastardly.com
A Web site dedicated to featuring the hottest female celebrities–from Hollywood starlets to supermodels. The Bastardly.com features an average of 15-25 new posts per day, with lifestyle features related to travel, health, fashion, and more.

Slamhype.com
An inside look at the brands and designers that are creating trends for young men. The site features magazine-style interviews and features, blogs by influential figures in street culture and ongoing news updates by a community of trendsetters across the globe.

Nahright.com
The number one respected editorial source for daily hip hop music and lifestyle information, Nahright.com features exclusive music video previews, interviews with key artists, music streaming, photos and more.

Complex.com
Complex.com has become a destination for young men looking for the latest information on hot products, news, and the people who shape this generation. The site features over 10 new blog posts per day with ongoing news updates on fashion, footwear, celebrity and pop culture. With over 50,000 registered users, the site has experienced tremendous growth since its re-launch in April 2006.

Hurricane Chris - A Bay Bay Official Remix

Hurricane Chris

Hurricane Chris

There’s a storm brewing in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is a storm that takes the form of a cultural movement destined to alter America’s cultural landscape the same way the crunk movement led by Lil Jon altered pop culture a few years ago. This new movement is called the Ratchet movement and it is helmed by a dynamic artist aptly named Hurricane Chris. The eighteen year old Shreveport native is currently causing quite a commotion down South with his blazing hot Polo Grounds Music/J Records single, “A Bay Bay.”

According to Hurricane Chris, “A Bay Bay” has its genesis in the namesake of the Ratchet movement’s cornerstone DJ, Hollyhood Bay Bay, who spins at a club called KoKo Pellis. Whenever the DJ would come in the club the crowd would start chanting “hey Bay Bay, hey Bay Bay.” After a while the crowd would do the chant whenever the club got ratchet regardless of who was on the wheels of steel.

“That became so catchy that I changed it from somebody’s name to a slang ‘A Bay Bay’,” says Hurricane Chris. “Now it’s a word, it means fa sho.”

If you haven’t heard Hurricane Chris’ “A Bay Bay” then you’re missing out on the hottest club single since Lil Jon’s “Bia Bia” or E-40’s “Tell Me When To Go”. The song is literally sweeping the nation like an uncontrollable firestorm, reeking havoc on dance floors from the H Town (Houston, Texas) to the ATL (Atlanta, Georgia) and everywhere in between.

Jay Kool On East Coast Digital Radio

Jay Kool On East Coast Digital Radio

Jay Kool is one of the best lyrical emcee’s in the history of Cleveland Hip Hop!! Carrying the experience of over 100 shows, several successful independent releases and one disappointing contract from a major label, Jay Kool has become a Cleveland Street legend and a force to be reckoned with in the music industry when it comes to recording and performing Hip Hop music. Jay Kool has set up an in-house recording/production studio and joined forces with beat making extradonaire Eric Wilson(Scratchpaper Productions) to constantly keep working on bangin tracks/songs. After the songs/tracks turn into singles and albums, The Nina Raw Records Network will then put the songs on the streets independently to build a bigger fan base and develop a better business savvy as well as profit each release. The style and image is good music, girls, street lyrics, and fun. The bottom line is that Jay Kool can produce product for a marketing strategy, radio, press, video, imaging and a super hype stage show to manifest a profitable business relationship for all parties involved.
